A unique children’s show filmed on small sets created from found and recycled materials. The two-dimensional cardboard characters are operated by puppeteers. Their faces are animated in post-production where additional magical effects are added.

Synopsis

Small seaside creatures from across the ocean live in a child’s abandoned sandcastle on an Australian beach.

Like bickering housemates, they comically clash over their differences. The castle’s comedic residents include a Western King Prawn, Fairy Penguin, Australian Soldier Crab, Californian Sea Star, and a Weedy Sea Dragon who believes he is the Loch Ness Monster. A wise Indigenous turtle and two ghostly jellyfish complete the group.

Each episode introduces something unexpected, revealing their shared sense of family, cooperation and acceptance while exploring Australia’s diversity and belonging.
